Feeding Therapy for Infants, Occupational Therapy, & Lactation Support
A baby’s occupation is eating, bonding, and learning to feel comfortable in their new world. A parent’s occupation is learning how to nourish their baby and help them self-regulate. As Madison’s only Occupational therapist and Lactation Consultant IBCLC, I draw on my expertise in both occupational therapy and infant feeding to offer big picture solutions to help your baby thrive.

Each session includes my observation of how your baby nurses and or bottle feeds. We will measure the baby's weight and their ability to transfer milk. I look for clues to any tension or tightness in the baby's body that may be impairing feeding. This includes an oral motor assessment and comprehensive plan for home strategies. Mom is also assessed for congestion in the breast tissue, and we discuss strategies to improve pain, discomfort, or milk supply.
Standard treatment plan includes initial observation and follow up treatment session.
